The Hasya Kavi Sammelan, titled “Hasyamev Jayate,” was held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Town. Organized by Marwari Sanskriti Manch & Taaza TV, this grand Samaroh offered an evening of “ultimate laughter” for the community. The event, held on Friday, 26th March 2021, commenced with refreshments at 5:30 PM followed by the main poetry session at 6:00 PM.
The invited poets (Kavis) included the melodic Vishnu Saxena and the humorous Kesar Dev Marwadi. They were joined by other eminent literary figures such as Arun Gemini, Chirag Jain, Mumtaz Naseem, Padmini Sharma, and Dinesh Lodha. The Governing Body, led by Chairman Arun Kr. Bhuwalka and President Lalit Kr. Prahladka, oversaw the proceedings. This high-profile gathering was supported by numerous sponsors, including Shree Cement, CenturyPly, and IFGL.
The program was led by Jc Dr. Kushal Zanwar (President), Jc Adv. Aparna Thakre (Secretary), and Jc Sarang Raut (Project Co-ordinator). The successful execution of this Hasya session was supported by Project Directors Jc Namrata Pawade, Jc Prashant Mondhe, Jc Ashwin Ande, Jc Navneet Jajoo, and Jc Uday Boob.
The event took place at the picturesque Eden Garden venue on 12 March ’17, starting at 8:30 PM. Other prominent poets who graced the stage included Chirag Jain, Sunil Sahil, and Ved Prakash Ved, making it a memorable night of laughter and literature for the residents of Angul.
The Samaroh was honored by the presence of Mukhya Atithi Shri Sanjay Shrivastava, Honorable Chairman of the Bhakra Beas Management Board. Shri Gopal Krishna Pareliya, a member of the Hindi Advisory Committee (Ministry of Power, Government of India), attended as a Vishisht Atithi. The management provided organized parking for guests and served refreshments following the conclusion of the program.
The program was successfully coordinated under the leadership of President Sohanlal Kasat and Secretary Mahaveer Prasad Mantri, along with office bearers like Shankar Somani, Omprakash Karnani, and others. The evening concluded with a community feast (Sahbhoj) for all attendees and the executive committee.
The stage was graced by the legendary Surender Sharma, whose signature style left the audience in splits. Joining him was the eloquent Mumtaz Naseem, alongside a powerhouse lineup including Arun Gemini, Gaurav Sharma, Chirag Jain, and Shambhu Shikhar. The Sanchalan and coordination of the Samaroh will be led by the internationally renowned poetess Dr. Kirti Kale. The invited guest list features a stellar lineup of artists, including “Laughter Fame” Hasya Kavi Chirag Jain from New Delhi, the popular satirist Shri Govind Rathi from Shujalpur (M.P.), and the energetic Shri Vinay ‘Vinamra’ from New Delhi. Adding to the diversity of the evening, Shri Shambhu Shikhar and the popular Marathi poet Shri Jeevan Talegaonkar will also grace the stage.
