The cultural landscape of Indore is set to brighten with the upcoming Hasya Kavi Sammelan titled “Lappujhanna.” Organized by the Rashtriya Kalmkar Manch, this grand Samaroh will be held at the historic Krishnapura Chhatri Chowk. The event features a stellar lineup of poets, headlined by the renowned Anamika Amber and the veteran Rashtra Kavi Satyanarayan Sattan.
Under the leadership of Mahasachiv Sanjay Shrimal and Sanyojak Ashish Kasat, the evening promises a blend of satire and lyricism. Other featured poets include Mithun Mithilesh, Rajesh Lotpot, Satyen Verma ‘Satyen’ (Sanchalan), Sarita Saroj, Vinod Pal, and Ravindra Ravi. The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, starting at 8:00 PM.

The event is supported by Doharia Steel Industries and organized under the leadership of Babulal Dhanania (President), Suresh Gupta (Chairman, Trust Board), and Subhash Jain. The Sanchalan of the evening was gracefully handled by Vikas Baukhala Ji, who kept the audience engaged throughout the program. The stage featured renowned literary figures, including Nar Kankal Ji, who captivated the crowd with his Hasya poetry, and Abhijit Mishra Ji, who stirred emotions with his powerful Oaj verses. The successful execution of the Samaroh was overseen by Krupa Sangam Ji, who served as the Sanyojak.
The stage was graced by renowned poets including Ved Prakash Ved and Sunhari Lal Turant, who captivated the audience with their verses. Other invited poets who added to the charm of the Samaroh included Rasik Gupta, Vineet Pandey, Aditya Jain, and Monika Dehlavi. The entire program was expertly managed through the Sanchalan of Anil Agravanshi, ensuring a seamless flow of poetic brilliance for the attendees.
The highlight of the evening will be the presence of the legendary Padma Shri Ashok Chakradhar. He will be joined by the renowned Chirag Jain and a talented troupe of poets including Mahendra Ajanabi, Yogendra Sharma, Deepak Pareek, Chetan Charchit, and Smt. Manisha Shukla. This Kavi Sammelan aims to bring together the community for a night of wit and satire, upholding the high standards of Hindi literary entertainment.
The Samaroh will be graced by Chief Guests Sri Surendra Agarwal of Austin Plywood and Bal vyas Sri Srikant Ji Sharma (Bhagwatacharya). The event is organized under the leadership of President Santosh Saraf and Secretary Naresh Ganeriwala. Attendees are invited to enjoy traditional Thandai and Tea; however, the organizers have noted that the use of colour is strictly prohibited at the venue.

The event will showcase a diverse palette of Rasas, featuring renowned voices such as Anu Sapan from Bhopal, specializing in Geet-Ghazal, and Dr. Shubham Tyagi from Meerut, known for her Shringar Ras compositions. The stage will also be graced by Sunita Patel (Jabalpur), Nisha Pandit (Ujjain), Priyanshi Patidar (Shajapur), and the humorous Ayushi Bhandari from Indore. The Sanchalan and Hasya elements of the night will be expertly handled by Sutradhar Gopal Gwalior from Badnawar. This Kavi Sammelan promises to be a landmark event for poetry lovers in the region.
